Ziro Ii Integrated Organic Farmersproducer Company Limited

Our office is actually down in Naharlagun, even though we are the Ziro II Integrated Organic Farmers Producer Company. We are located on the ground floor of Hotel Rajdhani in E-Sector. It might seem a bit strange to have a farmers' company in the middle of a city area like Papum Pare, but it makes the business side of things a lot easier to manage. We have people coming in and out all day from the Ziro valley to talk about their organic crops and how the transport is going. The hotel is a good landmark, so people don't get lost trying to find us. We deal with all sorts of organic produce, and being in the ground floor space means we can move crates and paperwork in and out without too much trouble. It’s usually pretty busy and a bit loud with the traffic outside, but we get our work done. We are not some big corporate entity; we are just a collection of farmers who needed a central spot to handle the ledger books and the sales. Most of our conversations are about soil, seeds, and the long drive between here and the fields in Ziro. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just try to keep the books straight and the farmers happy. It’s a lot of phone calls and sitting around the table, but it’s how we keep the organic farming side of things moving.
