Haandan Organic Private Limited is situated right near the DC office in the Old SSB Colony. You’ll find us at Wangfyak Wangsu’s place. We aren't a giant company with hundreds of employees in suits. It’s just us, working with the land here in our corner of Arunachal Pradesh. We focus on organic products because we care about what goes into the ground and what people end up eating. The area around the DC office is usually busy, but our work is mostly quiet and steady. We spend a lot of time talking to local growers and making sure everything is being done the right way. It’s a lot of walking and checking on different plots of land. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but we try to keep it simple. We started this because we saw a lot of good food going to waste or not getting a fair price. By staying small and local, we can keep an eye on the quality. It’s not always easy keeping things strictly organic, but we think it’s worth the extra effort. Wangfyak handles a lot of the day-to-day stuff, and the rest of us pitch in where we can. We just want to provide something honest from our soil to the market. There’s no big secret to what we do; it’s just farming and trying to be fair with people.
