Papumpare Organic Farmers' Producer Company Limited is located right in the middle of things at Naharlagun Market. We use Arnab Bhattacharjee’s place, Quarter No. E 285, as our main contact point. Being in the market area means we are always around the hustle and bustle. We are a group of farmers from around Papum Pare who decided to join forces. Everything we do is organic, mostly because that’s the way we’ve always farmed and it’s better for everyone. We don't have a polished corporate image. We are just regular people who spend most of our time in the dirt and sun. Running a producer company is a lot of work outside of just farming. We have to coordinate with many different growers and make sure everyone is following the organic rules. It can be a bit messy sometimes, but we manage. We aren't looking for awards; we just want a fair price for the hard work we put into our fields. You’ll often find us at the market discussing the latest prices or how the rain is affecting the crops. It’s a community effort, and everyone in the group has a stake in it.
