Sondhapur Farmer Producer Company Limited

This company belongs to the farmers here in Sondhapur. We operate out of Telu Ram's place, he is the son of Sh. Harda Ram. It is a local setup in Panipat where a bunch of us got together to handle our produce. Being a producer company means we are all in it together, mostly neighbors and family from the village. We do not have a corporate building, just the house and the storage areas nearby. Most of the time you will find someone sitting out front talking about the latest crop prices or the rain. Panipat can get very hot, so we do a lot of our heavy lifting early in the morning. Sondhapur Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically us trying to get a fair deal for what we grow. It isn't always easy dealing with the markets, but having our own group helps a lot. We share what we know and try to help each other out when the machines break down or when someone needs an extra hand. It is a very hands-on kind of life. There is usually dirt on our boots and grease on our hands. We have been living in this part of Haryana for generations, so everyone knows Telu Ram and where we are located. We just keep at it, season after season, hoping for good yields and steady work for everyone involved in the group. It is hard work but it is what we know.
