Our workshop is located in Vikas Nagar on Barsat Road. We are right behind the old Octroi Post, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. The area is pretty industrial, and there’s always the sound of iron being moved or trucks idling nearby. We’ve got a lot of heavy equipment in our space, so it stays pretty loud during the day. The floor is concrete and usually has a few oil spots here and there, but that’s just how a machine shop looks. We don’t spend much on decorations because we’re mostly focused on the parts we’re making. Our desks are covered in blueprints and old coffee mugs. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the other shop owners on the street. If we’re missing a tool, we can usually go next door and borrow one. The air is always a bit thick with the smell of metal and grease, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We start early when it’s still cool and try to get the hardest work done before noon. It’s a straightforward life. We make things, we fix things, and we make sure the orders get loaded onto the trucks correctly. There’s no secret to it, just showing up and putting in the hours until the sun sets. We like the work because it is honest and tangible.
