Exotica Overseas

Down in Model Town at house number 804, that is where you will find us. It’s more of a residential-looking area, which makes the work day feel a bit more relaxed than if we were in a huge factory. We deal with overseas orders, so our hours can be a bit strange sometimes. You might see the lights on late at night when we are waiting for a call from a different time zone. The office is basically a few rooms converted to hold our desks and some filing cabinets. We have a lot of maps and calendars on the walls to keep track of where everything is going. The street outside is lined with trees, so it’s actually quite nice when you step out for a breather. We don't have a lot of foot traffic, mostly just couriers dropping off envelopes or samples. It gets a bit cluttered with all the documents and labels lying around. We try to keep things organized, but when three orders come in at once, the desks disappear under the paperwork. We have been here for a good while, and the people in Model Town know us as the quiet business on the block. It’s just us, a couple of laptops, and a lot of patience for the shipping side of things. We keep the kettle going for tea throughout the day to stay awake during those long international calls.
