Bharat Loomtex Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away in Mahavir Colony. We are right behind the old Kishore Cinema building. Most people use the cinema as a landmark to find us. It’s a quiet enough street compared to the main road. We have our machines running most of the day. You can hear the hum from outside. We’ve been in this spot for a good while. The building isn't new, it has some cracks and the paint is peeling in spots, but it houses everything we need. We have a crew that’s been working the looms for a long time. They know the sounds the machines make better than anyone. We don’t do much advertising. Most people know us through word of mouth or because they’ve walked past the shop for years. Inside, it smells like dust and thread. We keep a pot of tea going for anyone who stops by. It’s not a high-tech operation. We still use a lot of traditional methods and keep our records in thick books. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing them with grease all over our hands. It's just regular daily life for us here. We aren't looking to change much. We just want to keep producing our goods and staying part of the Mahavir Colony community.
