Vishakha Marbles Granites

We run our stone business out of the Housing Board area, at 2 A 76. It’s basically a big yard and a small office where we keep all the slabs of marble and granite. It’s heavy work, and there’s always a lot of dust in the air from cutting the stone. We have all sorts of different colors and patterns leaning against the walls. People come by when they are building a new house or maybe just fixing up their kitchen. They usually want to walk around and touch the stone to see what feels right. We don’t have a fancy showroom with lights; you just see the stone as it is, out in the open. My hands are usually pretty rough from moving the pieces around. We’ve been at this location, 2 A 76, for quite a few years now. The neighbors know us because of the sound of the saws, though we try not to be too loud too early. It's just me and a few guys who do the lifting and the cutting. We don't have a big sales pitch or anything like that. We just show you what we have in stock and tell you the price. If you like it, we figure out how to get it to your place. It’s a very physical, straightforward kind of business. We’re here most days if you want to look at some granite or see what marble we have left.
