K.T. Malviya Marble & Granite

We are out in the Industrial Area in Rani, specifically at Plot No 36/37-B. It is a bit of a drive out here, but this is where all the industrial work happens. K.T. Malviya Marble & Granite is a place where we spend most of our time surrounded by giant blocks of granite and marble. The machines for cutting are always making a hum in the background. It is not the kind of place you visit if you want to stay clean. We have water running over the saws all day to keep the blades cool, so there is usually some mud on the floor. It is just the way a stone yard works. The sun gets pretty hot out here in the open plots, so we take our breaks in the shade of the stacks of granite. We are not a corporate firm with a big board of directors. It is just a few of us making sure the orders are cut right and loaded onto the trucks properly. We have been in Rani for a while and know the other business owners on the street. It is a tight-knit community of workers. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just come in, do the cutting, and go home when the work is finished for the day. It is hard physical work but it is what we know how to do well enough after all these years in the industry.
