K G N Marble

If you drive down Sumerpur Road, you will see our yard with all the stone slabs leaning against each other. K G N Marble is a place where we spend all day out in the open or under the shed. It gets very bright when the sun hits the white stones. We have stacks of marble and other materials piled up everywhere. It is a heavy job. We use cranes and rollers to move the big pieces around so they don't crack. The ground is always covered in white dust from the cutting and polishing. We don't have a big fancy showroom. Most people just walk through the rows of stone to pick out what they like for their floors or counters. The trucks come and go all day, kicking up more dust from the road. It can get pretty noisy with the traffic and the sound of the saws. We try to keep things simple. If someone wants a specific size, we mark it out with a pencil and get to work. It’s honest labor and it keeps us tired by the time the sun goes down. We have been at this location for a while, and the locals know us by now. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit of a mess, but we just wait for it to dry and get back to moving the slabs. It’s just us and the stone out here on the road.
