Vaapf Engineers

You can find us on the ground floor of Laxmi Industrial Estate, shop number 8. It’s on Penkarpada Road in Mira. We’ve been here since we started out. It’s an engineering workshop, so expect some grease and the smell of metal. We don't have fancy carpets or glass walls. It’s a place for tools and machines. We mostly spend our time fixing things or making parts. It’s loud and can get quite hot in the afternoons. We are a small team of engineers who just like to build things. We don't use big words to describe our work. We just look at the problem and try to solve it with what we have. Most of our clients come to us because they know we don't mess around. If something can't be fixed, we tell them straight. The industrial estate is a busy place with a lot of other businesses, so there’s always someone to borrow a tool from or have a quick tea with. We don’t really have a big sign outside, just our name on the door. It’s not about looking good; it’s about the work we do on the bench. We’ve stayed in Mira because it’s where we started and we like the community of makers here. There is always a lot of clanging and banging coming from our shop, but that just means we are busy with an order.
