S.S. Noodles

You can find S.S. Noodles over in Bhayandar East, tucked into building number one at the Ajmal Ramdev complex. We are right near the Navghar Cross on S. V. Road, which is a very busy area with a lot of traffic and people always moving. Our space is unit A/6, and it’s where all the mixing and cutting happens every day. The smell of flour is pretty much everywhere here, and it gets on your clothes if you stay too long. We have a couple of machines that hum along all afternoon making different types of noodles. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have to store the bags of ingredients and the finished crates, but we make it work. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad, though S. V. Road can be a nightmare during rush hour. We don’t have a website or any of that fancy stuff. We just focus on making sure the noodles are cut right and dried properly before they go out to the shops. It’s repetitive work, but there is something satisfying about seeing the stacks of packages at the end of the shift. We’ve been in this building for some time now and the neighbors are used to the sounds of our machinery. We just keep to ourselves and focus on the daily production schedule without any drama or complicated systems to slow us down.
