Shree Krishna is our little place over in Bhayander East, specifically around Oshiwara 6. It’s a neighborhood where everyone seems to know everyone else. We opened up here because it was close to home for most of us. The shop isn't huge, but we make the most of the space we have. You’ll usually see a few of us standing around talking to neighbors or sorting through the stock. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main city, but the trains make it manageable. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media manager. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait to see who comes in. Sometimes it’s busy and we’re on our feet all day, and other times we just sit and watch the traffic go by. The rain can be a problem in this part of town, so we’re always making sure the roof is holding up. We’ve had some leaks in the past, but we fixed them ourselves. It’s an honest way to make a living. We don't promise anything we can't do. If you need something, you just come in and ask. We handle things as they come. It’s a bit loud with the local construction, but that’s the way the area is developing lately. There is always someone working in the back room. We try to keep it simple and just do what needs doing.
