Dior Unisex Salon

Our shop is over in Pitampura, right at A/26 in the Pushpanjali Enclave. If you’re driving down the main road, just look for pillar 31-32 and we’re right on the opposite side. We are actually on the floor above the Bank of Maharashtra, so you have to walk up the stairs. It’s a unisex salon, so we get all sorts of people coming in for haircuts and shaves. The space isn’t huge, but we’ve managed to fit in four cutting stations and a couple of hair wash sinks at the back. The lighting is a bit bright, but it helps us see what we’re doing. Our staff is okay, they aren't the type to talk your ear off, which some customers actually like. We don't have any of those expensive brand names on the door. We just use what works. On some days, the air conditioner can be a bit loud, but it keeps the Delhi heat out. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, one of us just grabs it while we’re working. Sometimes the towels are a bit mismatched because we buy them in small batches. It’s a straightforward business. We open at ten and stay until the last customer is done. Most of our regulars live in the blocks nearby and just walk over when they need a trim. It’s just a regular local shop for people in the neighborhood.
