Babbar & Babbar Architects

Babbar & Babbar Architects is our family-run firm located over at Shakur Basti. Specifically, we're in the T-50 /2 MES Quarter near the Ordinance Depot. It’s a bit of a specific location in New Delhi, but people manage to find us. We’ve been doing this for a long time. The office feels more like a workshop sometimes. There are always drawings spread out on the big table in the middle. We handle a lot of the local building needs in this part of the city. Being near the depot means it’s a fairly quiet area compared to the rest of Delhi. We spend our time drawing up plans and making sure they meet the city codes. It’s not always the most exciting work, but it’s important. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just draw buildings and help people get them built. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of ink right when we need it. That’s just part of the daily routine here. We have a few desks and some old cabinets full of files from past years. We like it this way. It’s a practical space for practical work. If you need to find us, just look for the MES Quarters area. We are usually here from morning until late evening, depending on how much work we have piled up on our desks. Sometimes we work weekends too if a project is really behind schedule.
