Vijay South Indian Fast Food

We are located over in Mangolpuri Mangolpuri Kalan F48. It is a humble spot where we spend most of our day. Vijay South Indian Fast Food started because we wanted to do something local. The kitchen isn't huge but we make it work with the stoves we have. You can hear the pans clanking all afternoon. It stays pretty warm inside, so we keep the door open most of the time. People from the nearby houses come by when they don't feel like cooking at home. We serve things on simple plates. There’s no big dining room or anything like that, just a few spots to stand or sit while you eat. We get our supplies from the market nearby every morning to make sure things are ready. It’s a lot of chopping and stirring before the first customer even walks in. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of Mangolpuri, so we have to use candles or torches for a bit. It’s just part of life here. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a regular food place where the staff works hard and the neighborhood comes to eat. My hands are usually busy from open till close. We’ve been at this for a long time and we plan to stay right here at F48. It feels good to see the same faces every week. We just keep the steam coming off the pans and the food ready for whoever walks through the door.
