We are over at B-769 in Aman Vihar. It’s a bit of a tight spot to find if you aren't from around here. New Delhi 110086 has its own rhythm. Every morning starts with opening the heavy metal shutters. The air is usually heavy with whatever is cooking next door. We get the boxes folded and the ingredients prepped. It’s repetitive work but it keeps us busy. The floor at B-769 is concrete and we’ve seen it get worn down over the months. We don't have a fancy office upstairs. Most of our day is spent standing or moving between the cold room and the heat of the oven. Aman Vihar is a busy place, plenty of families and people just trying to get home after work. Our bikes are lined up outside, ready for the evening. Sometimes the rain makes the street a mess, and everything slows down. We just keep the lights on and the kitchen going. It’s a small team here. We know each other's moods and who needs a break. If the oven is acting up, we fix it. If the phone rings, we answer. It’s just Domino'S Pizza India Ltd. doing its thing in this part of town. No big speeches or flashy signs. Just the address on the wall and the smell of bread in the air. We stay until late, then lock up and do it again tomorrow. It is just how things go.
