You might be looking for a place to eat, but this location at 28 Samrat Enclave in Pitampura is actually just an office. It is where a lot of the behind-the-scenes coordination happens for McDonald’s here in India. While the restaurants are all about fast service and bright lights, this spot is much more ordinary. It is a regular building in a busy part of Delhi where we deal with all the boring stuff like supply chains, logistics, and piles of paperwork. There are no fryers or burger counters here, just a lot of desks, some ringing phones, and people in meetings talking about bread and potatoes. We spend our hours looking at spreadsheets and making sure the trucks are getting to where they need to go across the region. Pitampura is a crowded neighborhood, so there is always plenty of noise and activity right outside our doors. Most of the staff here have been around for a long time, and we just treat it like any other office job. We go out for local snacks at lunch and come back to deal with more emails. It is funny because people expect something flashy, but it is really just a practical workspace where we make sure the outlets have what they need to stay open. We don't really have any big displays or public areas. It is just a functional hub for the company where the day-to-day management tasks get finished without much fanfare or excitement.
