Shanu'S Food Shop

Shanu'S Food Shop is right here in Rohini Sector 16, specifically at F-2/237. If you live around here, you probably know the street. It’s a residential area mostly, so we see the same faces every single day. We started this place because we wanted to have something of our own. It’s a small shop, and the kitchen takes up most of the space. It gets really hot in there when the stoves are all going at once. We spend the morning chopping vegetables and getting the sauces ready. There’s always something that needs cleaning or fixing. We don’t have a massive menu, just the things we know how to make well. The bell on the door rings every time someone walks in, which can get a bit annoying after a while, but it means business is moving. We have a couple of small tables, but most people just take their food and go. The neighborhood kids sometimes hang out outside in the evenings. We try to keep things simple and honest. No fancy garnishes or expensive plates. Just regular food for regular people. Shanu is usually the one behind the counter, while the rest of us are busy in the back. It’s a lot of standing around, but we enjoy the chat with the locals. Sometimes we run out of things early and have to close up. It’s a bit unpredictable, but that’s just how running a small food shop goes. We like it this way.
