Senior Marketing Consultant For Various Steel Wire Mfg. Co.

I work out of Rohini in Delhi, specifically Sector-13 at Arawali Kunj. My office is at B-22, Plot No-44. My title is a bit of a mouthful—Senior Marketing Consultant for Various Steel Wire Manufacturing Companies. But really, I just spend my days talking to people in the steel industry and helping them figure out where their products need to go. Steel wire isn't the most glamorous thing in the world, but it’s needed for almost everything. I’ve been in this trade for a long time, and I know most of the manufacturers around this part of India. Rohini is a busy place, and Sector-13 has its own energy. My office is pretty plain. I have a phone, a computer, and a lot of samples of different wires sitting on the shelves. It’s not a corporate showroom. It’s just a place where business gets done. I spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting people for tea to discuss prices and supply lines. Being in Delhi means everything is fast, but I try to keep a bit of a calm head. I don't use fancy marketing talk because the people I deal with are practical folks. They just want to know if the wire is good and if it will arrive on time. That is what I focus on. It’s a lot of coordination and keeping track of details, but I’ve got a system that works after all these years.
