Shiv Manufacturers

Shiv Manufacturers is located down Subedar Wali Gali in Phase 2 of Budh Vihar. It is a busy little street, and our workshop at A-133 is right in the middle of it. We spend our days making parts and handling raw materials that come in on the small trucks that can actually fit down the lane. There is always the sound of machines running or someone hammering something into place. It is a dusty job, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We have been in this part of Budh Vihar for a long time, and the neighbors know us by the noise. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist because we are usually out on the floor actually working. If someone comes by, they just have to shout a bit over the machines to get our attention. We make things one batch at a time, making sure the measurements are right before we move on to the next. The lighting isn't the best in the back, but we know where every tool is kept. It’s a lot of manual labor and standing on our feet, but that is the nature of manufacturing here. We don't put on any acts; it is just hard work in a narrow alley. People bring us orders, we give them a timeline, and we do our best to stick to it while managing the power cuts. The heat in the summer can be tough when the machines are running, but we just keep the doors open.
