Ramkrishna Das Nursery

You can find us at No. 653 Agarwal Metro Heights in E-5 Netaji Subhash Place. Ramkrishna Das Nursery is a bit of a green spot in a very busy, paved-over part of the city. We have a lot of plants crammed into our space, from small succulents to larger indoor trees. It’s always a bit of a struggle to keep everything watered and happy when the weather gets really hot. The office part of the nursery is usually covered in dirt from the pots, and we’ve given up on keeping the floor perfectly clean. We spend a lot of time talking to people about how not to kill their plants, which happens more often than you'd think. We aren't a big industrial greenhouse. It's just a local place where we keep things growing. Netaji Subhash Place is always crowded, so it's nice to have a corner that feels a bit more natural. We don't use a lot of fancy sales talk. If a plant looks healthy, we show it to you. If it’s struggling, we move it to the back to fix it up. Sometimes we get deliveries that take up the whole walkway and we have to move everything around just to let people in. It's just a small group of us who like working with soil and leaves. We're right here in Metro Heights, doing our thing every day and hoping the plants stay green.
