Amar Seeds Pvt Ltd is situated on the ground floor of C-48/3-A on Lawrance Road. Being on the ground floor makes it a whole lot easier for loading and unloading, which is basically what we do most of the time here. Lawrance Road can be a real headache with the traffic sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it over the years. We deal with seeds, obviously, and that means a lot of checking bags and keeping track of what’s coming in and going out. It’s a dusty job sometimes, but someone has to do it. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s a smaller group of us here, and we all pitch in where it's needed. If the phone rings and everyone is busy in the back, it might take us a minute to get to it, but we always do. We don't have a shiny showroom. It’s just a place where the work happens and the seeds are kept safe. People in the trade know where to find us. We’ve been at this for a good number of years now, so we know the cycles of the seasons pretty well. It’s simple work, but it’s honest. We aren't out here trying to impress anyone with big speeches or flashy brochures. We just want to make sure the bags are full and the orders are right. That is enough for us to keep going.
