If you’ve ever been to the New Subji Mandi in Azadpur, you know how chaotic it can be. We are located at C-601, right in the thick of all that noise and movement. Known You Seed Pvt Ltd is our little corner in this massive market. We get here very early, usually before the sun is even up, because that’s when the mandi is most alive. It’s a world of its own with trucks coming from all over the country and people shouting prices. Our office is small and functional, mostly used for storing our seed packets and keeping our records. It’s not the cleanest place in the world because of all the mud and vegetable waste outside, but it’s where the business happens. We spend our days talking to farmers and traders about what they’re planting next season. You have to be quick on your feet here, otherwise, you’ll get run over by a handcart or a delivery bike. It’s a lot of physical work, even if we are mostly dealing with seeds. The air always smells like a mix of diesel and fresh produce. We don't really do much in the way of marketing because everyone in the mandi knows where we are. It’s a tough environment, but there is a certain energy to it that you don't find anywhere else. We usually wrap things up by mid-afternoon when the main market rush starts to die down.
