Our shop is at number 32 in the Badli Industrial Estate, specifically in the Phase-Li section. It’s a typical industrial area, so there are a lot of trucks, forklifts, and workers moving around all the time. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time now, through the heat and the rains. The building is a simple one, mostly just open space for our industrial work and some storage. We don't have a lot of frills or decorations. It's mostly just iron and steel and the faint smell of grease and oil. That’s how an industrial estate should be, I think, nothing too pretty but very functional. We spend our days handling various jobs that come through the door. Some days it’s really loud because of the heavy machines we use, and other days it’s just us doing maintenance and cleaning up the floor so we can start fresh the next morning. We all know each other well since we’ve worked together for years. The neighborhood isn't much to look at, just row after row of similar grey buildings, but it's where we get our work done and earn a living. We usually have a bit of a struggle with the parking out front when the bigger trucks are trying to load up or unload supplies. But we manage to make it work. It’s a straightforward life here. We start when the sun comes up and we head home when the job for the day is finished.
