Citizen Enterprises is based at A-37 on GT Karnal Road, right in the industrial area near the Maruti showroom. If you’ve ever driven down this road, you know how dusty and busy it gets with all the big trucks going towards the border. Our place is basically a big warehouse where we keep our stock and run our daily operations. We don't have any polished reception area or expensive furniture. It’s mostly just metal racks, concrete floors, and the sound of the highway outside. We deal with a lot of industrial goods and the paperwork that goes with it. The office is just a small corner with a few desks and a lot of files. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking the crates that come in from the suppliers. It can get very hot in the afternoons because the roof is high and the sun beats down on the industrial estate. We usually have tea at the same time every day to break up the morning and afternoon. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to keep the orders moving and make sure our regular customers get what they need. It’s a straightforward way to make a living and we’ve been doing it from this same spot for a long time now. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay organized amid all the boxes.
