We are Laxmi South Indian Food Makers and you can find us at F-Block 137 in Mangolpuri. This area is known as Madrasi Colony. It’s a lively place with lots of people around. We spend most of our time in the kitchen. There is always a lot of grinding and steaming going on here. We started doing this because it’s what we know. The smell of sambar and chutney usually fills the air around F-Block. It’s not a fancy restaurant with waiters and big menus. We focus on making the food properly. People from the colony come by and pick up what they need. Some days the weather makes the work hard, especially when it’s humid. But we stay at it. Mangolpuri is a busy part of town and being in Madrasi Colony feels like the right spot for us. We use the space we have at 137 to get everything ready every morning. It gets quite loud sometimes with all the pots and pans clanking. We don't spend money on ads or anything like that. People just know where we are. We have been at this address for some time now. Dealing with suppliers and keeping everything running takes up the whole day. Sometimes we get tired, but when the food turns out well, it’s worth it. We just stay busy making food in F-Block and hope people like it. We have big metal drums for the batter and we cook every day. It’s hard work but it is our life.
