Jai Ambay Etching Process

We are located at C 6/13 in the Lawrance Road Industrial Area. It’s a busy spot with lots of trucks and workers moving around. Our specialty is etching on metal, so we have tanks of acid and various cleaning solutions in the workshop. You can usually smell the chemicals when you walk in. We wear old clothes because there's always a chance of getting a splash or some metal dust on them. We have several long tables where the metal plates are laid out for processing. It’s a detailed job and we spend a lot of time bent over the work. The floor is concrete and often a bit wet from the washing process. We have a few machines that make a lot of noise, so it’s hard to hear the phone sometimes. We’ve been here at C 6/13 for a good number of years. There’s a small sink in the back where we wash up before lunch. We usually bring our own food from home and sit on the stools to eat. We don't have any fancy brochures. Most of our work comes from other businesses in the industrial area who know what we do. It’s a straightforward, hardworking environment at Jai Ambay Etching Process. We just focus on finishing the batches of metal plates on time and making sure the lines are sharp and clear.
