Operating Chefs Cart out of Flat No C/15 in Gbts Gardens Colony is definitely an experience. Chhatarpur Extension is a crowded place, and sometimes getting deliveries in and out through the narrow roads is a real headache. We started this because we needed a way to work, and the kitchen in this flat became the center of everything. It’s not some massive professional setup you’d see on TV. There are days when the sink leaks or we run out of space for all the groceries. We spend most of our hours chopping, cooking, and packing stuff up. The neighbors know us by the smell of the food drifting through the hallway. Some of them complain about the noise, but mostly they’re friendly enough. Living and working in the same colony means there’s no real break, but that’s okay. We keep the counters clean and the stove going from morning until late at night. Sometimes we get so many orders we don't even have time to sit down for a meal ourselves. It’s hard work, and my back usually hurts by 9 PM. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a front desk. It’s just a practical setup in a residential block. We focus on getting the food out hot and making sure we don’t mix up the addresses. Being in Gbts Gardens gives us a sense of community, even when things are chaotic.
