About Bittoo Tikki Wala – Food & Beverages in North West Delhi
Rani Bagh is a busy place, and we are right there in Sant Nagar at 2884. Bittoo Tikki Wala is basically centered around the big iron tavas where we fry everything. You can hear the sizzling from down the street when we start up in the late afternoon. It gets really crowded around six or seven in the evening, with people standing around the stall. We have to be quick with the plates because the line starts to get long. There’s a lot of steam and smoke, and we’re constantly refilling the bowls of chutney and yogurt. We don't have a lot of space for people to sit, so they just stand around on the sidewalk. The pavement gets a bit messy with used paper plates, so we’re always trying to sweep them up into the bin. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, and the neighbors know us well. We start our prep work early, boiling huge pots of potatoes and peeling them by hand. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands are always busy with the food. We don't have any fancy signs, just the name of the place and the smells that pull people in from the main road. By the time we close up at night, we’re pretty tired, but we do it all again the next day because that’s the job we have.
