Plot No 302/7 in Wazirpur Village is where we do our business. It is an interesting spot to be. Wazirpur is a busy area, but we are tucked away a little bit. We deal with fruits and that means most of our real work happens very early in the morning. That is when the crates come in from the trucks and everything is still fresh from the fields. The smell of the fruit is the very first thing you notice when you walk into the plot. It is not some clean, air-conditioned office space. It is a working yard where things happen. We have workers moving boxes around, checking the quality of the produce, and getting everything ready for the local markets. Some days we are dealing with apples, and other days it is whatever else is in season at the time. We have been at this plot for a good while now. The village has grown quite a bit around us, but the way we do things hasn’t changed much over the years. It is all about getting the produce in and getting it back out before anything goes bad. You have to be quick in this business. We don’t have time for fancy talks or polished presentations. It is just about the fruit and the people buying it. Sometimes the traffic in Wazirpur makes the logistics difficult, but we always manage to get through it. It is a long day for us.
