Aakriti Carpet Pvt. Ltd. is located at B-205, right inside the New Subzi Mandi in the Azadpur area. It might seem a little bit strange to have a carpet business located right near a massive vegetable market, but it has always worked out for us. The whole area is incredibly busy from very early in the morning until late at night. We deal with all kinds of floor coverings, ranging from simple rugs to more detailed, heavy carpets. Our warehouse space is always full of that specific woolly smell that new carpets always have. It is heavy work, moving those long rolls around all day. Most of us have slightly bad backs from the lifting, but we don't complain about it much. We are definitely not a fancy boutique with mood lighting and soft music. We have bright tube lights and hard concrete floors because that is what a real working warehouse needs to function. People come here when they want something sturdy that is going to last a long time. We don't have a team of designers wearing silk shirts. It is just us, some heavy-duty scissors, and a whole lot of inventory to go through. Sometimes the noise from the Mandi outside is so loud that we have to shout just to be heard across the room. We take our time showing the different patterns to anyone who stops by.
