Creative Candles

Our place, Creative Candles, is tucked away at 3721/1 in Kanhaiya Nagar. It is part of the Tri Nagar area, which is always buzzing with people and rickshaws. We have been making candles in this small space for quite a while now. When you walk inside, the smell of wax and different perfumes is really strong, which we have all grown used to over the years. It is not a high-tech operation by any means. We do a lot of the pouring and the trimming by hand at long wooden tables. There are usually boxes stacked up to the ceiling waiting to be moved out, and the floor always has a thin layer of wax that we have to scrape off every now and then. It gets pretty hot in here during the summer months when the melting pots are going all day, but we just keep the fans running and get on with it. We do not have a big marketing department or any glossy catalogs. Most of our neighbors know what we do because they can smell the jasmine or sandalwood coming from our door. We just try to make things that look okay and burn for a decent amount of time. Some days are more hectic than others, especially around the festival seasons, but we just keep our heads down and keep pouring. It is honest work and it keeps us out of trouble for the most part.
