Gift Expo

Our place is at Bb-11 in Mangolpuri which is part of the Rohini area. It is a straightforward shop where we keep a lot of different gift items. We spend our mornings opening up the shutters and seeing what needs to be organized. There are always boxes arriving and we have to find space for everything on the shelves. It is not a huge place so we have to be smart about where we put things. Sometimes it feels like we are living in a maze of wrapping paper and glass bowls. We don't have a fancy dress code or anything. We just wear what is comfortable for moving boxes around all day. The neighbors around here are friendly and we often chat with the shopkeepers next door while having a tea. We see people from all over Rohini coming in to find something for a housewarming or a small party. We don't try to push people into buying things they don't want. We just let them look around at their own pace. Sometimes we get some unique items that we haven't seen before and those are always fun to put on display. It is a lot of routine work like cleaning and counting but it keeps us occupied. We close up when it gets dark and the streets start to quiet down a bit. It is just our way of life here in Mangolpuri and we have been doing it this way for a long time.
