Holy Cross High School

Holy Cross High School is right in the middle of Village Bastora. It’s one of those places that has been part of the village life for as long as anyone can remember. You don't need a map to find us if you live around here. The school is just a simple set of buildings where the local kids come to study. It’s not one of those fancy international schools with air conditioning and glass walls. We have regular stone and concrete rooms that stay relatively cool even when it’s hot outside. The kids walk to school from their homes in the village, so there isn't a big line of cars in the morning. It’s mostly just the sound of footsteps and chatter. We have a small yard where they play during the break. The teachers are mostly locals too, so everyone knows everyone else’s family. It makes for a very different atmosphere than a big city school. Sometimes a dog wanders onto the grounds or someone from the village stops by to drop something off. It’s very relaxed in that way. We just follow the curriculum and do the best we can with the books and supplies we have. It’s an honest place. We don't have a big marketing budget or a website with shiny photos. It’s just the school in Bastora where the kids grow up and move on.
