Harmalkar Developers Private Limited is based out of House No 792/1(3) in Alto Porvorim. It is more of a local house than a big glass office building. We like it that way because it feels more like home. We focus on developing small projects and houses around this part of Goa. You can usually find a couple of us sitting around a table with a bunch of drawings spread out, trying to figure out the best way to use a piece of land. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know how things work here. Building things can be a slow process, especially when you are waiting for materials or for the rain to stop. We don’t try to act like we are bigger than we are. We are just local developers who know the soil and the people. Our office doesn’t have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you knock on the door, one of us will just come out and talk to you. We deal with a lot of the same contractors and workers on every project, so we have a good rhythm going. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with bricks and sand often sitting near our sites, but that’s how you know work is getting done. We just keep our heads down and try to build things that will actually last for a while.
