Goa Urban Farmers 08 Llp is located in Flat No. 15/G-1 at the Kamat Gar Co-Op Housing Society. We are right in Bardez, and being in a housing society tells you a lot about how we operate. We are interested in the kind of farming that happens in and around our living spaces. It isn't all big tractors and huge fields; sometimes it is just small plots and clever ways of growing things where you live. Our office is basically a flat, so it is very informal. We don't have a dress code or a big sign out front. We just get together and talk about how to make urban farming work better for people in North Goa. It’s a small group of us and we all have other things going on, but we care about this. Sometimes the neighbors wonder what we are up to with all our talk of soil and balcony gardens, but they are starting to get used to us. We don't use a lot of fancy terminology or try to sound like we know everything. We are just learning as we go and trying to share what works for us in this environment. It is a bit of an experiment, really. We spend our time figuring out the best ways to grow food in smaller spaces and helping others do the same. It is practical, everyday work for us. No big corporate goals, just local people growing things and helping others do it too.
