Our office is at F 5 in the John Paul Building, which sits on Dratmaram Borkar Road in Panaji. Being in Goa is a bit different than the big city offices. The pace feels a little slower here, even though we are still Deloitte Consulting India Pvt Ltd. Panaji is a busy place, especially around this part of town with all the shops and people walking by. The building is an older one, but it has some character to it. We spend our days mostly at our computers, trying to stay cool when the humidity gets high. You can hear the sounds of the street from the windows if they are left open. Sometimes we go out for a quick bite at one of the local spots nearby. It is not a massive corporate campus with a gym or a cafeteria. It is just a few rooms where we handle our consulting tasks and talk to people. The 403001 area is pretty central, so getting here is not too bad, though parking on Borkar Road can be a real headache some days. We have got a routine down now. We come in, get the coffee started, and start working through the pile of things on our list. It is a straightforward setup. No one is wearing fancy suits unless there is a very big meeting happening. Usually, it is just regular clothes and a lot of focus on the computer screens.
