Woks & Handi

Starting Woks & Handi came from wanting a place in Narmada Market where people could actually find decent food without all the fuss. Shop number 13 to 16 is where we are, right by the Delhi GPO. Lunch hours get pretty busy around here, so most of the day is spent just trying to keep up with the orders. Regulars from the nearby offices make up most of our crowd. There isn't a big fancy team behind the counter or anything like that. It's just a few of us working in the kitchen. Focusing on what we know how to make—basically stuff in the woks and the handis—is what we do. Sometimes the stove acts up or a popular item runs out, but that’s just life in a small kitchen. Things are kept clean and simple. You won't find any complicated menus here. The food is just what we'd eat ourselves. Usually, it's quite loud in the market, but the noise has become normal over the years. The chairs aren't the newest and the floor has scuffs from all the feet walking through, but it’s a real place. Being at this spot for a while means most neighbors know us by name. It’s not a five-star place, just a regular shop where you can grab a meal and get on with your day. We like it that way. There is no need for anything extra. We just keep the doors open and do our best with what we have.
