Vikas Dhatu Udyog

Our shop is located at number 2444 on the main road in Gali Mundewali. We’re right in the Ajmeri Gate area, very close to the Sadar Bazar Police Station. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how incredibly busy it gets. The streets are narrow, and there is a constant flow of carts, rickshaws, and people carrying heavy bundles. Vikas Dhatu Udyog is right in the middle of all that action. It’s a small shop, and we use every inch of space we have. Metal pipes and sheets are stacked up against the walls, and the floor is usually covered in dust. It’s a very old building, so the walls are thick and the ceilings are high. We don't have a website or a social media manager. Most of our customers are people who have been coming to us for years. We handle the metal trade the old-fashioned way—lots of talking, weighing things on the scale, and writing out receipts by hand. The noise from the main road is constant, but you get used to it after a few days. We usually have a pot of tea going in the back. It’s a gritty, fast-paced environment, and there is never a dull moment. We’re just local people doing business in a very old part of the city. We open the shutters early and close up late every single day.
