Shri Optical Industries

Shri Optical Industries is located in Kandle Kashan, Fateh Puri. This is a very old and crowded part of the city, where the lanes are narrow and the history is everywhere. We work with optical goods, so the space is usually full of frames, lenses, and small tools. It’s not a modern showroom; it’s more of a workshop and a storage space combined. The lighting has to be good so we can see what we are doing with the small parts. Fateh Puri is always noisy with the sounds of the market—rickshaws, vendors calling out, and the general bustle of shoppers. Our building is old, with steep stairs and walls that have been painted many times over the years. We have our regular customers who have been coming to this area for decades. It’s a tight-knit community here in Kandle Kashan. We usually start the day early before the heat gets too bad. There is no air conditioning, just a few old ceiling fans that hum all day. We keep the inventory in wooden cabinets that have been here since the start. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. We don’t have a website or a marketing team, just our hands and the glasses we work on. It’s a traditional way of doing business in a very traditional part of town. We just stay busy with our work and keep things going every single day.
