Siddharth Stampings

Wazirpur is a busy place, and we are right in the thick of it at Shed No. 44 in the DSIIDC industrial area. Siddharth Stampings has been tucked away in this corner for years. The whole area is full of different shops, but you can usually tell ours by the rhythm of the stamping machines. It’s a repetitive sound, but it means things are getting done. We work with metal sheets, turning them into specific shapes that other companies use for their own products. It’s heavy work, and the machines take up most of the space in the shed. There isn't much room for a fancy office, so the desk is just tucked into a corner near the main door. We get a lot of dust from the surrounding factories, so we are constantly sweeping, though it never stays clean for long. The guys here have been working together for a long time, so they don’t even need to talk much to know what needs to be done next. We take our lunches outside when the weather is nice, just to get away from the noise for a bit. We aren't looking to change the world; we just want to make sure the stampings are cut right and sent out on time. It’s a straightforward way to make a living in Wazirpur. We just keep our heads down and focus on the day's production.
