Vijay Steel Furniture

We’ve been at B 192 in Bawana Industrial Area for a while now. Most days here start early when the trucks begin rolling into Sector No. 1. If you walk by Vijay Steel Furniture, you’ll hear the sound of metal hitting metal and the smell of fresh welding. It isn't a fancy place. Our workshop is full of heavy sheets and tools scattered around where we left them the night before. Sometimes the dust from the industrial area gets everywhere, but that’s just how it is working here. We spend our time cutting steel and making sure the edges are straight. It’s hard work on the hands. My tea gets cold because I forget about it while moving heavy racks or benches around. People from nearby units often drop in just to ask for a small fix or to see what we are building. The lights in the shop stay on late most evenings because there’s always one more piece of furniture to finish up. We don’t have a big front office or anything. It is just the workshop where everything happens from start to finish. If you find yourself in this part of Bawana, you’ll see us working away behind the big metal doors. We just keep our heads down and handle the steel as it comes. It's a loud place, but we are used to the noise by now.
