Our office is located at No. 4126 Shahtara Street. It’s right by Ajmeri Gate in the Chandni Chowk area. If you are taking the metro, we are pretty close to the Chawri Bazar station. Anyone who has been to this part of Delhi knows it is incredibly busy and crowded. Shahtara Street is no different. It’s a narrow lane filled with history and a lot of trading activity. We are right in the middle of it. The building we are in is old, like most of the structures around here. Inside, Unique India Trading Co. is just a functional space. We have piles of paperwork, some samples of what we trade, and old wooden furniture. It’s not the kind of place that would look good in a magazine, but it’s perfect for the kind of work we do. There’s always a lot of shouting and noise from the street, but you get used to it after a few days. We don't bother with fancy signs or expensive advertisements. Most of our business comes from people who have known us for years or who were told about us by other traders. It’s a very traditional way of doing things. We open up, have some tea, and start the day’s work of buying and selling. It’s a tough environment but there’s a lot of energy in Chandni Chowk. We are just one small part of the big trading world that exists around Ajmeri Gate.
