The Daily Mart

We’re over on Dhaka Main Road at Plot Number 270. That’s in the Kingsway Camp area, right near Parmanand Chowk. It’s a busy part of Delhi with a lot of people moving around all day. We opened The Daily Mart to give folks a place to grab their everyday things without a lot of fuss. We carry milk, bread, snacks, and the usual household supplies. The shop isn’t huge, but we make use of every inch of space we have. Sometimes the crates are stacked a bit high near the door. It gets quite warm in the summer, even with the fans going. We aren’t one of those big supermarket chains. It’s just a local mart where you can pop in and out quickly. Most of our customers are from the surrounding houses or students from the nearby colleges. They come in for a cold drink or a pack of biscuits on their way home. We try to keep things simple and honest. If we don’t have something, we’ll tell you straight. The road outside is always loud with the sounds of the city, but we’re used to it by now. It’s just us here, working the counter and keeping the shelves as full as we can manage.
