Mehra Bros

Mehra Bros is situated at 601 Hamilton Road, right near Kashmiri Gate. We are located specifically on the backside of the Old Delhi Railway Station, so the sounds of trains and whistles are a constant part of our day. It is a very busy area with a lot of history and a lot of people moving through it at all hours. Our shop is tucked away in a spot that sees a lot of foot traffic from travelers and locals alike. Inside, it is a bit dark and filled to the brim with all kinds of items. We have been here for a long time, and you can see that in the way the wooden shelves have bowed under the weight of the stock. There is a lot of paper on the walls, mostly old notes and contact numbers we’ve kept over the years. It gets a bit grimy because of the proximity to the station, so we spend time every morning wiping down the front counter. We don't have any formal roles here; we all just pitch in and help whoever comes through the door. Sometimes we have to hunt through the back to find something specific, but we usually know where everything is. It is a fast-paced environment because of the location, and we are used to the chaos of Kashmiri Gate. We just keep our heads down, serve the customers, and enjoy a quiet moment when the station gets a little less crowded.
