Rai Corner Shop

Rai Corner Shop is easy to find if you know where the Radha Krishna Mandir is in Burari. We are right there at Plot No 2 in A Block, specifically on Nehru Gali No 3. It's a local neighborhood spot. We started this because we wanted to have something of our own in the area. It’s a typical corner shop, nothing too fancy or modern. We stock the things that people nearby usually need on a daily basis. Most of our customers are neighbors we’ve known for a long time. They drop by, say hello, and pick up what they need. Sometimes we sit outside when it’s not too hot. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we stack things on the shelves. It gets a bit cramped sometimes when three or four people are inside at once. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in. We try to keep the place clean, though dust from the road always seems to find its way in. It’s a simple life running a shop like this. We open early and close when the street gets quiet at night. It’s not about becoming a giant chain. We just want to be a useful part of the street here in Burari. It's a decent way to spend the day. We’re happy being the local choice for people on our block. We've been here long enough that we know everyone's name.
