Taiyo Optronics

Our shop is right in the middle of everything at Chandni Chowk. Specifically, we are at Shop No 4 on the first floor within the Moti Cinema Compound. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how packed it gets. Getting up to the first floor is a bit of a squeeze sometimes because the hallways are narrow and there’s always someone moving boxes around. We deal with optronics parts and miscellaneous electronic bits. It’s not a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just shelves full of components and a couple of desks where we check things. We’ve been here at 1487/2 for a good while now. The noise from the street below never really stops, but you get used to it after a week or two. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to find us if it's your first visit because the signs in the compound can be confusing. We spend most of our day answering the phone or sorting through stock. It’s honest work and we just try to keep things running. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If the power goes out, we just wait it out like everyone else in the lane. It’s a bit dusty, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We just focus on what’s in front of us and try to get the orders right.
