We run Ssk Digital Fashion Pvt Ltd. Even though the name sounds a bit official, we are just a practical team working in our space. We focus on digital work related to the fashion industry. Most of our time is spent managing the machines that print designs onto various types of fabric. It is a lot of technical work, making sure the colors look right and the patterns are aligned properly. We didn't start with much, just a single room and a lot of hope. Now we have a few more machines and a bit more experience under our belts. The daily routine is pretty steady. We start by checking the digital files our customers send over and then we get the printing started. It is a noisy environment with the machines running all day, but we are used to it by now. We don't have a big marketing department or a polished showroom to show off our work. People usually hear about us from other businesses in the garment trade. We drink a lot of chai while we wait for the long rolls of cloth to finish. Sometimes things go wrong with the software or a machine gets jammed, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it ourselves. It is just honest work and we try to do it as best as we can without making a fuss. We just focus on the task at hand and getting things done.
