Singal General Store

We have been here on GT Karnal Road for a long time now. It’s just a regular shop where people from Azadpur come when they need stuff for their houses. We keep the usual things like pulses, soap, and snacks on the shelves. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the mornings because everyone wants their milk and bread at the same time. My father started this place, and now I’m the one mostly sitting behind the counter. The shop is at 325 A, right by the main road. It’s not a very big space, so we have boxes stacked up high near the back door. You might find some dust on the top shelves, but we try to keep things moving. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. People just walk in, tell us what they want, and we get it for them. If we don’t have something, we usually tell you where else you might find it. It's just how we do things here. The traffic outside is always loud because of the trucks, but inside it’s just the sound of the fan and people talking. We know most of our neighbors by name. It’s a simple life. We open early and close when the street lights have been on for a while. Nothing fancy, just a store for the neighborhood. It’s been this way for years and we don’t plan on changing much.
